Can't really speak to Android compatibility for old Vault modules. Some PW modules posted on the Vault are not really configured for single-player use, or would require work to do so, again the description should hopefully indicate this. The module descriptions (and user comments) should be better guides for the type of experience it offers. It's your choice if you want to limit yourself to modules labeled "PW" on the Vault that are available for download, but for single-player purposes there is no real distinction. If you are playing a module (labeled "PW" or otherwise) on your own computer and saving the game, these savegames are always "persistent" in that all in-game information is contained in that save (just as with any other game). Online multiplayer PWs store player and gameworld information in databases that are separate from the module, so the module can be changed/updated. For instance, if I save and reload within a PW world module run on my local device, how "persistent" is the state of the world? etc I'm not concerned about balancing issues (# of party members etc), but potential technical/mechanical problems, mostly because I don't understand a lot about persistent worlds and how they differ from regular modules. I should note that I'd plan to do this on Android. I have researched a bit online and have found some PW modules that seem to be possible to use this way, for instance, but I'm curious if anybody here has tried something similar and run into issues. The reason is that I generally like games that are light on plot and heavy on semi-random encounters, respawning enemies, auto-generated quests and exploration in an "endless" single-player experience (think Skyrim or Breath of the Wild), and in the NWN modules I've played so far I always found myself enjoying exploration and random encounters more than following the story line. As the title says, I'm interested in finding out if it's realistic to play a persistent world module locally, solo without a DM.
